About us

Répit le Zéphyr is a community organization recognized by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. It offers respite and caregiving services for families living with one or more dependents diagnosed with an intellectual disability (ID) or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Services are offered to people living within the territory of the MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry, the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent and the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

Why this name? The word Zéphyr refers to a soft, gentle breeze. This is what we offer to families: peace and reassurance.

Maison Zéphyr and Maison Jean-Reid

Since its foundation in 2001, Répit le Zéphyr has always hoped to create a soothing home where it would be safe and reassuring to leave one’s child with special needs for a respite. Our wish has finally come true! It is not one house, but two houses that are at your disposal. The Maison Zéphyr and the Maison Jean-Reid. The Maison Zéphyr opened its doors on May 30, 2020 in response to an urgent request for respite due to COVID-19.  The Maison Jean-Reid opened its doors for its first respite on April 16, 2021. Since then, they have welcomed individuals from 4 to 65 years old with an intellectual disability (ID) or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
