Make a real difference, your way

Over the years, caring people have organized many activities to support Répit le Zéphyr: BBQs, benefit shows, baseball tournaments, sales of handmade bath salts, school campaigns, or donation drives during birthdays or annual celebrations.

Every action, big or small, shows a deep commitment to our mission and makes a real difference in the lives of the families we support. Many have also taken part in our annual Operation Red Nose campaign, volunteering their time or contributing financially.

How to organize a fundraising activity

Are you a business, an individual, a scool, an artist, a parent or a sports team? Whatever your profile, it’s easy to help us. Here’s how:

STEP 1 : CHOOSE YOUR ACTIVITY

Think of an activity that reflects who you are and that you will enjoy organizing:

  • Individual challenges: sports, creative or symbolic challenge
  • Honor campaign: birthday, retirement, wedding
  • Online fundraising: Facebook page, GoFundMe, etc.
  • Team challenges: tournament, hike, group activity
  • School or corporate initiatives: raffle, bake sale, jeans day
  • Social events: benefit dinner, show, auction, creative workshop, etc.

Set yourself a realistic financial goal and a suitable date. Choose a venue (in person or online), target your audience, and go for it!

STEP 2: MOBILIZE YOUR NETWORK

Spread the word about your fundraiser at work, with family and friends, and on social media. Explain why Répit le Zéphyr matters to you: it’s your story that inspires.

STEP 3: THANK YOUR SUPPORTERS

Take the time to thank everyone who supported you: their generosity is precious. A photo or short video souvenir will make it even more memorable!

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DONATION

You can bring the funds raised to us in person or mail your donation. Contact us to discuss details or take an official photo of your donation handover!

Summer and spring break day camp 13–21 years old

The day camps are for youth aged 13 to 21 with special needs such as ID or ASD. Each summer and during spring break, our team organizes an inclusive and stimulating program with activities chosen based on the participants’ interests, abilities, and specific needs. Whether creative, sports, recreational, or social, the goal is always the same: foster growth, autonomy, and joy in a safe and caring environment.

Summer day camp 5–12 years old

Répit le Zéphyr is proud to continue its partnership with the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield to offer a specialized day camp for children aged 5 to 12 with special needs, including ID and ASD. This camp provides a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive at their own pace and according to their strengths. Activities are carefully selected to promote social, emotional, and motor development. Our specially trained staff provide individualized and caring support, ensuring a positive experience for each child.
This camp is not only a chance for fun and socialization, but also a valuable respite for families. Staying true to its mission, Répit le Zéphyr is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Pilot project: A place for 0–5 years old and support for all

The project “A place for 0–5 and accompaniment for all” aims to provide concrete, humane, and personalized support to families with a child aged 0–5 with special needs.

This project seeks to facilitate the integration and retention of children in educational childcare (CPE, daycare, etc.), thanks to adapted support measures and close collaboration between families, childcare services, health professionals, and community partners.

Main objectives :

  • Promote equitable access to childcare services for all children, regardless of their needs.
  • Equip families in their efforts, especially those juggling work, family life, and daily challenges.
  • Provide individualized support tailored to each child’s profile, strengths, and challenges.
  • Prevent the risks of exclusion or expulsion, still too frequent for children with special needs.

This pilot project is an innovative, inclusive, and proactive initiative that works upstream to give children a better start in life. By creating lasting bridges between families and services, we help build a more equitable and compassionate society.
